Future Landscapes Workshop - Enhancing Seen & Unseen Landscapes with Mixed Reality

Future Landscapes was an intensive four-week, full-time workshop created in a collaboration between the Moore Institute at University of Galway, Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture, and the Berlin-based School of Machines, Making & Make-believe.

The objective of the workshop was to help participants to develop both the critical skills and technical knowledge to explore the use of immersive technologies, such as Virtual and Augmented Reality, within the context of landscape. 'Landscape' was intentionally interpreted broadly, to include both the seen and unseen, for example, the digital augmentation of physical landscapes, or the creation of immersive experiences related to social, political or other forms of landscape.
