RTÉ Brainstorm is a new online platform for academics and researchers to publish a broad range of articles.  NUI Galway, along with several other universities in Ireland, are supporting the initiative to increase the profile of our academic and research output. You will find more information below and also details about information sessions which are taking place across campus on Thursday 12 October.

Brainstorm RTÉ’s website receives 51 million monthly page impressions, with 6.5 million monthly unique visitors. RTÉ Brainstorm will offer our NUI Galway research community the opportunity to contribute to public debate, engage in the news and current affairs of the moment and communicate new thinking.  It will allow RTÉ to provide longer form content and analysis to its online readers/users.

The platform will combine opinion, analysis and features. Content will be edited by RTÉ and sit alongside its online journalism and content. As it develops, the intent is for RTÉ Brainstorm to provide readers with informed views and perspectives on a vast range of topics. It’s an unique partnership between RTÉ and Irish third level institutions, namely University College Cork, NUI Galway, University of Limerick, DCU, Dublin Institute of Technology, Ulster University and Maynooth University.

RTÉ Brainstorm is where the academic and research community will contribute to public debate, reflect on what’s happening in the world around us and communicate fresh thinking on a broad range of issues.Combining opinion, analysis and features and edited by RTÉ and sitting alongside our online journalism and content, RTÉ Brainstorm will provide readers with informed views and perspectives on a vast range of topics.
