(Post) Imperial Cultures is a one day symposium designed to discuss questions of aesthetics and representation in context of contemporary theory of empire and the transnational. The symposium will include a panel and roundtable discussion on (post) imperial cultures, with contributions from Terence Brown (Trinity College Dublin), Moynagh Sullivan (National University of Ireland, Maynooth), and others. Areas to be considered include the relationship of culture to representation during and after empire; poetry and the transnational; modernism and the global.
