Dagmawi Yimer is an Ethiopian-born, Italian-based director and activist documenting the journeys of asylum seekers and migrants.

In conversation with Dr. Andrea Ciribuco (NUI Galway, Italian), Dagmawi Yimer will present his latest work “Waiting” (with English subtitles, 17 min.), discussing the links between documentary and activism, and how to use images as a medium to reflect on the present historical moment.
