Call for Papers
The conference will explore the history of women religious across a broad chronological timeframe, from medieval to modern. We invite proposals (for 20-minute papers) that engage with the theme, ‘Space, Place and the History of Women Religious’. Proposals might consider, for example:
- International and Transnational Perspectives
- Buildings and Architectural Planning
- Lived Experiences of Space
- Mobility and Geography
- Visualisations/Imagery of Space
- Archives, Women Religious and Space
- Gendered/Contested Space
- Space, Place and Identity
We invite both individual and panel proposals. Proposals from postgraduate students are particularly welcome. Please send abstracts (max. 200 words), together with a short biography (100 words) to hwrbi.conference@gmail.com by Friday 9 February 2018
