A rehearsed reading of
WHEN THE MOON HAS SET
By J.M. Synge
On
Friday, 1st March 2013 at 3pm
At the Town Hall Theatre (Studio Space), Galway
After Yeats and Lady Gregory rejected When the Moon Has Set (Synge‰۪s first completed play) in the autumn of 1901, he kept returning to it throughout his writing life, eventually producing several versions of varying lengths. The one being presented here is a new two-act version compiled by Dr. David Clare (NUI Galway) from the various drafts left behind by Synge (and now stored in the Trinity College Dublin archives). Don‰۪t miss a chance to see a live reading of a play that has never been publicly staged, featuring professional actors familiar from Ireland‰۪s major theatres and from popular productions that have toured across the country!
CAST: Paul Gibson, Rebecca Grimes, Emily Jeffers, Nicholas Johnson,
Elliot Moriarty, and Karina Power
DIRECTED by David Clare
