Claire Keegan‰۪s first collection of stories, Antarctica(1999), won the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature. Hersecond collection, Walk the Blue Fields (2007), won theEdge Hill Prize for Short Stories. Her short story ‰Û÷Foster‰۪was selected by Richard Ford as the winner of the DavyByrnes Irish Writing Award in 2009 and it wassubsequently published in The New Yorker.
