British Academy Award for Moore Institute Researcher

Dr Conor Newman, Senior Lecturer, Department of Archaeology and PI with the Moore Institute has been awarded the 2011 John Coles Medal for Landscape Archaeology for his achievements in landscape archaeology at a function at the British Academy in October 2011. John Coles Medal for Landscape Archaeology Professor John Coles, a Fellow of the Academy since 1978, generously offered to establish an Academy Medal for Landscape Archaeology, for distinguished achievements, by any scholar based in Britain and Ireland, in landscape archaeology in any part of the world and in any period. This Medal was awarded for the first time in 2007.
